Summer school will be offered for the 2025–2026 school year for students for both acceleration/enrichment for incoming 9th graders and recovery for current Oak Grove Students. These courses provide students with an opportunity to strengthen foundational skills and prepare for success in high school.
June 22 – July 17 (19 days total)
1st Semester: June 22 – July 2
2nd Semester: July 6 – July 17

Students and families must complete the summer school interest form by 4:00 PM on May 1 indicating the student’s preferred course. Students and parents/guardians will be notified of summer school course placement via email by the end of May.

Math Lab: Coding and Robotics (8:30 AM – 2:00 PM)
This foundational high school math course strengthens essential math skills through engaging, hands-on learning. Students explore concepts such as fractions, ratios, equations, linear relationships, geometric transformations, and probability while applying them in real-world ways. Through coding and robotics projects like RoboParade, RoboToss, and the RoboPlay Challenge, students collaborate to solve problems, build confidence in mathematics, and develop skills that support success in future math and STEM courses.
Algebra 1 Acceleration (8:30 AM – 2:00 PM)
This accelerated course is designed for students who have demonstrated success in middle school mathematics and are ready to advance in the high school math pathway. Students will complete Algebra 1 while exploring key concepts such as solving equations and inequalities, graphing linear relationships, working with polynomials, and analyzing data. The course emphasizes problem-solving, reasoning, and mathematical modeling and prepares students to take Geometry in 9th grade.
SUMMER BRIDGE (8:30 AM - 2:15 PM): Students enrolled in this course learn fundamental study skills and develop four-year and post high school transition plans. Students and their families will also be linked to community resources that will aide in their transition to high school. This class is designed to give students who come in from middle school an opportunity for a fresh and successful start in high school. (Elective Credit)

Oak Grove's Administration building is open Monday - Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM (except on holidays or during school vacation).
If your child will be absent from school, please be sure to call in to clear your child's absence. Scheduling doctor appointments after school or on Thursday during collaboration is also a great way to ensure students do not miss valuable class time.
