Course selection season is an exciting time at Oak Grove! Each year, students begin the process with a schoolwide lesson and a scheduling video created by the Counseling Team. This video reviews typical, on-track schedules for each grade level, explains the difference between AP and Dual Enrollment courses, and highlights the variety of elective options available.
Students then meet one-on-one with their counselors to review graduation progress and thoughtfully select courses for the upcoming school year. Families are encouraged to talk together about students’ interests, goals, and postsecondary plans to help ensure course selections support both academic success and personal growth.
Resources such as the Course Catalog, scheduling video, and instructions for submitting course requests through Infinite Campus are provided to support students and families throughout the process. We look forward to partnering with you each year as students plan a successful and engaging academic experience at Oak Grove.
