Associate Principal of Tiered Supports
Raymond Ramirez
Dear, Oak Grove Community,
Hafa Adai Eagles! It is an honor to work with the students, staff, and families of the Oak Grove High School community. Growing up in South San Jose, and still residing in the neighborhood that raised me, I am passionate about supporting holistic student success.
Within the Associate Principal of Tiered Supports role, my number one priority is coordinating services for students so they can succeed at Oak Grove. This umbrella of services includes Mult-Tiered Systems of Support, Student Success Teams, 504 plans, Special Education, and Wellness Support Services. Tailoring interventions to support Academics, Behaviors, and Social-Emotional Learning requires a team approach including students, families, teachers, and support staff. Coordinating these efforts demands effective communication & collaboration.
Working closely with Academics & Behaviors, the primary focus of Tiered Supports centers around Mental Health & Social Emotional Learning. Collaboration within our Care Team empowers students to develop resiliency, positive coping skills, and healthy self-esteem as core components of the daily work at Oak Grove. Underlining this mission is the goal of increasing Oak Grove students’ overall sense of belonging from fledgling 9th-graders to 12th-grade soaring Eagles.
Please contact me with questions or if your Oak Grove Eagle needs support.
